I’m a computational social scientist and civic technologist focused on self-governance, digital democracy, and algorithmic accountability.

I’m exploring how technology changes democracy, either through helping communities make better collective decisions and supporting thoughtful deliberation at scale, or via gradual disempowerment and loss of accountability over democratic decisions.

  • Currently I'm a non-resident fellow at The Cornell Brooks Center on Global Democracy, investigating automation and delegation of democratic and adjudicative processes to AI; and a research lead at the Oxford Computational Political Science Group, studying how exposure to others' reasoning shapes deliberation outcomes.
  • Starting Summer 2026, I will join the Data & Democracy Initiative at UChicago's Data Science Institute.
  • Coming from Eastern Europe, I care deeply about democratic resilience and support data and policy consulting, including select pro-bono work with organizations in Eastern Europe and Central Asia advancing good governance and human rights.
